Moving right along. When I first opened the doors of Tarpaperhaven, I'll be honest — fear was right there with me. That quiet voice that whispers "what if this doesn't work?" was loud some days. I prayed over it. I worked through it. And I kept going, because I believed God had placed this dream in my heart for a reason.
And now? We are moving right along.
It didn't happen overnight. It never does when something is built with love and purpose. But slowly, faithfully, the sales started coming in. One by one, real people — people like you — found their way to this little store and decided something here was worth taking home. That means more to me than any number on a spreadsheet ever could.
To every single person who has visited Tarpaperhaven — thank you. You didn't have to stop. You didn't have to browse. But you did, and that matters. Every page view is a person, and every person is a blessing I don't take lightly.
To those of you who made a purchase — you are the reason this dream is still alive. You trusted me with your hard-earned money, and I do not take that lightly. Whether you picked up a mug, a piece of apparel, or a gift for someone you love, you helped keep this going. You are part of this story now.
I started Tarpaperhaven because I wanted to create a place where faith, family, and the love of country living could come together in something tangible — something you could hold, wear, or give. A place where a Great Dane mama could find something that made her smile, where a quilter could feel seen, where someone who loves God and country could find a little piece of that reflected back at them.
We are still growing. There is so much more to come — new products, new designs, new ways to celebrate the things that matter most. But right now, in this moment, I just want to pause and say thank you.
Moving right along doesn't mean rushing. It means trusting the pace God sets. It means showing up every day, doing the work with a grateful heart, and believing that the right people will find their way here at exactly the right time.
